Sunday worship service is at 10:00.
Our church is located at 259 Shore Drive in Mashpee. A parking lot in front of the church will lead you right into the church. If you park in the rear parking lot, where the sign directs you, there is a back door marked with a sign and a welcome banner that leads you through the rear of the building. Dress is anywhere on the spectrum from casual to formal – it’s up to you. No matter what, you are always welcome to come as you are!
When you come to worship you will be greeted warmly and welcomed into our sanctuary. A bulletin (order of service) will be provided so that you will be able to participate fully in worship. Prayers will be printed in the bulletin. Songs are sung from our hymnal. You are invited to participate as much or as little as you are comfortable.
The pastor will welcome the congregation and lead in prayers responsively or in unison. We hear sacred words from the Bible, read and introduced by someone from the congregation. Music will be offered by our choir(s) or guest musicians. An approximately twelve minute sermon from our pastor will provide some words for consideration and deeper thinking. An offering is gathered that sustains the church – as a visitor you need not participate as we pray that the worship service is a gift for you! Those who have committed to making Mashpee Congregational Church their spiritual home are the sole financial supporters of the church. If you visit on the second Sunday of the month we will also celebrate communion, a symbolic and sacred meal during which we remember Jesus’ gift of love and life.
Following worship we enjoy a time for socializing and delicious refreshments. We hope that you will offer us the opportunity to get to know you better during that time.
